To report a missed pick up please call Republic Services. The City contracts with Republic Services to handle these services, but does not have direct contact with drivers. Republic Services can be reached at 972.316.0789.
Castle Hills residents, please call Community Waste Disposal (CWD) at 972.392.9300, option 2, within 24 hours of your missed pickup.
The only holidays that affect pickup are Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Service is pushed back one day i.e. If Christmas falls on a Monday, then houses normally serviced Monday are serviced Tuesday, Tuesday houses are serviced Wednesday, etc.
Broken Cart
If your cart is damaged by normal wear and tear you can have it replaced at no charge by contacting Republic Services directly at 972.316.0789.
Stolen / Missing Cart
Please check with your immediate neighbors to see if they have an extra cart that might be yours. There is a $72.06 charge for replacement carts unless you go online to complete a police report for theft. Once you get the online Police Report number or agree to pay the missing cart charge, please fill out the “Missing/Stolen Cart Form” so we can process your request. ***The form is for Republic customers only***
Additional Service
Additional trash or recycling carts are available to residents who consistently have more trash or recycling than will fit in their existing cart(s). There will be a monthly charge of $6.52 added to the water bill to cover the cost of each additional cart. If you would like an additional cart(s) please complete a request form. ***The form is for Republic residential customers only*** If you are a Castle Hills Resident with CWD you must contact Lewisville Utility Billing for an additional cart: 972.219.3440.
Remove Cart
If you have multiple trash or recycling carts but only want to have one of each, you can fill out the remove cart form
Senior Discount
Republic Services does offer a 20% senior discount rate for those that qualify. Requirements and application.
View our GIS map online and input your address to determine your collection day for trash, recycling, bulky waste, and yard waste. All services are provided on the same day of the week.
Residents are required to have the trash cart placed at the curb or alley collection location by 7 a.m. on the scheduled collection day. Collection containers should not be set out for collection more than 24 hours prior to the collection date and should be removed from the collection point within 24 hours of collection date.
