Using this online citizen police report system allows you to submit a report immediately and print a copy of the police report for free. Please confirm the following to find out if online citizen police report filing is right for you:

  • Is this an Emergency? (in-progress crime, injured person, immediate threat to your safety)
  • Did this incident occur outside of the Lewisville city limits? (Link for the city limits map)
  • Are you reporting a vehicle accident or hit and run?
  • Can you use the ourLewisvilleTX app to report the issue? 

If you answered "Yes" to any of the above questions, this is not a report that can be filed online with the Lewisville Police Department. If you answered "No" to the above questions, you are ready to file your report online. Please make sure to turn off your pop-up blocking software before filing the report. Upon completion of this report process you will:

  • Be given a police report case number.
  • Be able to print a copy of the police report to keep for your records.

  • All cases filed using the Online Police Reporting System will be reviewed.
  • Upon review, if further investigation of your case is needed, you may be contacted.
  • Filing a false police report is a crime!

Once you click on the link, you will be taken to a new page. On it, you will see the option to "Report an Incident". You will click on that box and follow the instructions to complete you report. 

Using the Lewisville Police Department Police Online Citizen Reporting System allows you to report incidents such as:

Child Custody Violation, Vandalism/Criminal Mischief, Lost Property, Harassment, Identity Theft, Theft, and Vehicle Burglary.

Each category will have a description and example, please be sure to read them carefully and once you select the appropriate incident, click "Continue" to proceed.

If your incident is not listed in the category selection list, please call the Lewisville Police Department to file your report.

Below are the other options for reports you can request through the Lewisville Police Department. Accident/Crash reports and Open Records Requests which you can obtain through the Lewisville Police Records Division.

The fee for non-certified motor vehicle crash reports retrieved from the police department Records Section is $6. A certified copy of a crash report (from Records Division only) is $8. The Record Division accepts cash or check only.

Download a copy of the Accident Report request form.  You may fill out the form and bring it in person to the Records office during business hours or mail it with your payment.  Once the payment has been processed, the Records office will either mail a copy to you, or email it,  if you have provided an valid email address.  Certified copies will be mailed only.
