Lewisville Western Days festival is a 2-day event featuring great music, good food, and activities for the whole family. Held each year in Old Town Lewisville, the event features five stages of entertainment, tamale eating contest, and more for the 20,000-30,000 event-goers.

The 2025 Western Days festival will be Friday, Sept. 26, 4 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 27, from Noon – 11:30 p.m.

The Western Days festival is located in historic Old Town Lewisville along Church and Main Streets where Wayne Ferguson Plaza and Lewisville City Hall are located. Due to street closures, visit the Parking & Transportation page before visiting.

Admission to the Western Days is FREE prior to 6 p.m. both days. No ticket required before 6 p.m. After 6 p.m., admission is $15 for everyone except children 12 and younger, who are always free. Ticket information.

Free parking is available around Western Days, but it is extremely limited. All attenders are encouraged to use the FREE shuttle system available on Friday and Saturday. Details about both can be found on the Parking and Transportation page of the Western Days website.

This event does not offer hotel packages, but Visit Lewisville provides a list of local hotels to choose from.

Frost Bank on Main St. has an ATM. Food vendors and bar sales will be done by a RFID contactless payment system.

Western Days has gone wireless, with the use of RFID-enabled wristbands for touchless purchases. No cards or cash will be accepted at bars or food trucks. Attendees will pay a $1 fee for each wristband and then add as much money as they want onto that wristband to use for purchases at bars and food trucks. Multiple recharge stations will be available throughout the festival grounds, and wristbands can be used the following year. Non-food vendors can cash and credit cards.

Coupons from previous years will not be accepted. However if you have an RFID wristband with credits from last year remaining on the chip, those credits can be used for the current year's festival.

We’re always looking for volunteers to help us at Western Days and other special events. By becoming a volunteer, you will be helping to make the festival run smoother so that event-goers can make memories with family and friends. Volunteers receive complimentary food and beverage, a festival T-shirt, and recognition in local media in return for volunteer at least 4 hour shift during the Festival. While attendees are allowed to bring personal chairs for viewing music at any stage, the area closest to the Main Stage if standing room-only. Look for signs indicating where chairs are not allowed. This is for public safety purposes.

There is no fixed seating since the Main Stage is on a City street. Wagons are also allowed at the festival.

Due to the large crowds, coolers are not allowed. Neither are outside beverages, per TABC guidelines. However, empty refillable water bottles are allowed, and there will be refill stations.

No outside food or drinks (except empty refillable water bottles and food for babies/toddlers), bicycles, skateboards, personal transport vehicles or illegal weapons are allowed. Legal weapons are allowed. Firearms and pets are not allowed on shuttle vehicles. Empty, refillable water bottles are allowed.

RFID Payment System

Attendees will pay a $1 fee for each wristband and then add as much money as they want onto that wristband to use for purchases at bars and food trucks. Multiple recharge stations will be available throughout the festival grounds.

Please note that there will be no refunds for money placed in the RFID-enabled wristband. Each time a purchase is made, the cashier will tell you how much the balance is. All vendors have been trained on how to do this. Attendees can ask any food/bar vendor what your balance is or anyone at the sales booth where purchased before using.

The wristbands can be saved and used again next year, or at least the chip can be reused. If there's $10 left on it, or 10 credits, that can be used again next year.

This is common technology for large festivals. 2021 was the first time this event has used this technology.

RFID wristbands will also be used to purchase Kid Kountry wristbands and at the DIY Tie Dye T-Shirt Station. All other vendors - business, artists/exhibitors, non-profits accept cash and credit card payment.

 

Yes, pets are allowed at the festival but must stay on a 6 ft. or shorter leash at all times. Pets are not allowed on any of the shuttle vehicles. Please clean up after pets. Any owner whose pets are exhibiting aggressive or unruly behavior may be asked to leave.

Yes, the Western Days festival is kid-friendly. A Kid Kountry wristband will be sold for $15 that can be used for both Friday and Saturday. Starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday, the wristband price will be $10 for the remainder of the event. (Wristbands will also be discounted to $10 during Happy Hour on Friday, 4-6 p.m.) Wristbands will be available for purchase using the RFID wireless payment system. The weather in Texas can be unpredictable, but this time of year temperatures are generally pleasantly warm to hot, so you’ll want to dress in lightweight, comfortable clothing that’s good for spending a day outside. Wear comfortable shoes so you can walk around the grounds easily. And, consider sunglasses, a hat, or sunscreen. Lawn chairs are allowed at the Main Stage, but they are restricted at the front of the stage, which is for standing-room only.
