Home MenuSpecial Event Permit
The Building Services Division coordinates the review and approval of Special Event permits. A special event is defined as a temporary gathering of participants using either private or public property including but not limited to parades, fairs, festivals, exhibits, block parties, street dances, carnivals, circuses, temporary outdoor amusements, outdoor concerts, and sporting events, according to Chapter 7 Article V of the City of Lewisville Code of Ordinances
Application
Applications for special event permits must be submitted through MyGovernmentOnline at least two (2) weeks before the event. However, we highly recommend submitting the application as early as six (6) months in advance to ensure adequate time for review. If you would like to rent a city facility, you must contact the respective staff as early as possible to confirm availability of the space you are interested in. See below for more information about renting city facilities.
