Maintaining a safe community requires a partnership between police and residents. Volunteers are needed to help organize local crime watch groups. Residents wanting a more intense volunteer experience can attend the annual Citizens Police Academy in the fall, and afterward can become a member of the Lewisville Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (LCPAAA).
