Collaborative Series Paintings

Artist: Members of the Visual Art League of Lewisville

Donated by the Visual Art League of Lewisville, the collaborative series paintings are featured in the main lobby of the Lewisville Grand Theater. Each collaborative piece is made up of eight individual panels painted by a different artist. Explore the various works and contributors below.

Old Town Lewisville 1875

Installed: 2013

This collaborative piece captures scenes from historic photos of Lewisville. Located in the south end of the Lewisville Grand Theater lobby, visitors can find this piece in the alcove between the Performance and Recital Halls.

Texas Wildflowers

Installed: 2014 

This collaborative piece depicts several types of wildflowers found in Texas, including the bluebonnet, the official state flower. This piece is located in the lobby at the Main Street entrance.

Community Water

Installed: 2012

This collaborative artwork was created by dividing a photograph taken by Owen Richards at the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA) into eight equal segments, which were distributed to different artists to take back to their studios. The painters then recreated their segments of the photo using their own unique styles. The artwork is currently on display in the Administrative Offices of the Lewisville Grand Theater.
