Lewisville Animal Shelter “Pet of the Week” – Aine

In an effort to spread the word about animal adoption and to help these loving animals find fur-ever homes, the City of Lewisville will feature a Pet of the Week each week in this media packet, available for adoption at the Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, 995 E. Valley Ridge.

This week’s featured pet is Aine, a 4-year-old female retriever mix. This shelter VIP is a cuddle bug, preferring the company of people, but she gets along well with other dogs. She is vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, heartworm negative, had flea treatment applied, and sterilized.

Anyone interested in Aine can submit an application through the “Adoptable Pets” page at cityoflewisville.com. Just click on her picture and follow the unique URL to begin an online adoption application. Once the application has been submitted, Lewisville Animal Services will call the applicant on or before the next business day. While on the phone and if approved, staff will counsel the potential adoption and will schedule an appointment for a visit. Applications will be responded to in the order they are received.

PURRS & PAWS: FIND YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND ADOPTION SPECIAL

The Animal Shelter is holding the Purrs & Paws: Find your new Best Friend adoption special - waiving adoption fees through Jan. 3, 2025, for all dogs in the shelter over 20 pounds, and all cats regardless of size. The regular adoption fee is $90.
