City offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. All essential city services will continue to operate. Residential garbage and recycling collection will be moved by one day (Thursday pickup moved to Friday, Friday pickup moved to Saturday).
Did you ever wonder what Santa does before Christmas? He is a firefighter! Santa visits Lewisville neighborhoods atop his fire truck sleigh and spreads holiday cheer and yummy treats which area merchants donate. Look for him in the weeks before Christmas. The goal is to visit every neighborhood and apartment complex in the city. Please understand that we are not able to preschedule routes, but we will do our best to hit every street.
Santa and his firefighter helpers will be driving through Lewisville’s streets starting on December 9 until December 19, 2024. Come on out and wave at Santa as he passes by each night from 6-8 p.m.
