The Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center is waiving adoption fees for all dogs over 20 pounds and all cats through January 3, 2025.

The Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center is located at 995 E. Valley Ridge, across from the north entrance to Railroad Park.

Hours of operation:

• Monday: By appointment only
• Tuesday: Noon-7 p.m.
• Wednesday-Friday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Saturday: Noon-5 p.m.

Please note that the shelter will be closed on the following days:

Thanksgiving holiday, Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29
Christmas holiday, Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 25
