The Lewisville Police Department is working with the LISD Choices program to provide residents a safe way to dispose of expired, unused, unsafe, or unneeded medication.
The goal of this program is to reduce the risk of prescription drug abuse and increase awareness of this critical public health issue.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., in the parking lot of Lewisville High School, 1098 W. Main Street.
Volunteers and police officers will be present to accept, secure, and deliver the medications to the Drug Enforcement Agency for proper disposal. No syringes, sharp objects, or inhalers will be accepted.
