On Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, the MLK of North Texas Committee celebrates the 31st annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with their civic event and contest winner announcement held at Lewisville High School. Thanks to the generous support of sponsors, the organization will award cash prizes to students from 4th - 12th grade in three categories: Essay, Art, and Photography. The contest theme for this year is Becoming One: The Time Is Always Right to Do What Is Right.
Winners of photography and art works from the contest will be on view in The Grand’s Education Wing Gallery Saturday, Jan. 20 through Saturday, March 2.
Gallery hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and during public events at The Grand.
To reach The Grand from I-35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. The Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall.
